90 Day Fiancé: Franchise Friendships That Were Better Than Some Couples

90 Day Fiancé and all of its spin-off series chronicle the journeys of couples who become hot topics of conversation among fans, but the shows’ friendships are also interesting. While engaged and married couples get attention, there are some other 90 Day Fiancé franchise duos that have captured viewers’ attention. Some pairs were so iconic that they have been asked to appear on other spin-off shows together.

For example, Colt Johnson and his mother Debbie Johnson stood out to viewers, to the point that they overshadowed any of the women Colt appeared on the show with. Colt and Debbie starred on the spin-off show 90 Day Fiancé: Love Games together, even though all of the other cast members were married couples. Tarik Myers and Dean Hashim were another “non-couple” pair that stole the show while appearing on 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk together.

Although some dynamic duos are given spots on the many 90 Day Fiancé spin-off shows, other pairs have yet to show up onscreen. However, there are some show-stealing franchise friendships that have stood out to viewers, which would likely add a lot of excitement to spin-offs. Keep reading to find out about these friends.

Alina Kasha & Elijah

90 Day Fiancé viewers were immediately taken by the friendship between 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days newcomer Alina Kasha and her friend Elijah. Alina’s friend was surprised to hear that Alina was leaving their shared country, Russia, to go to Turkey and meet up with her Internet boyfriend, Caleb Greenwood. Elijah knew that she might need some extra help in Turkey because Alina is a little person. He offered to go with her to assist her. On the show, Elijah revealed that the two have been friends for six years and are also in a band together, the “BFF Band.” Fans love the rapport between these two, and how committed Elijah is to being there for his friend.

Yazan & Adam The Translator

Jordanian man Yazan Abu Harirah and his bold and confident American love interest Brittany Banks had a difficult time communicating, so Adam Lebzo a.k.a. Adam the Translator was hired to help. Viewers were instantly taken by the onscreen friendship that Yazan and Adam formed. Viewers were very excited when the 90DF fan-favorite Adam joined Yazan on the spin-off show, 90 Day Fiancè: The Other Way Strikes Back! However, he does more than translate for Yazan. The two also laugh and joke together during their segments, making Yazan and Adam more fun to watch (almost) than Yazan and Brittany.

Big Mike & Uncle Beau

When they first met him in 90 Day Fiancé season 7, the viewers were instantly charmed by “Big” Mike Younguist’s unique family member, Uncle Bojangles Lawrence. Uncle Beau was working as a ranch hand to help Mike out with the family farm in Sequim, Washington, and living with Mike at the same time. Fans loved the relationship between Big Mike and Uncle Beau, and were totally charmed when they saw the two men enjoying beers after a long day of farm work. They were outraged when Mike’s partner Natalie Mordovtseva demanded that Beau leave the house due to his criminal record. Natalie also accused the toothless man of stealing her jewelry, but it was never revealed whether or not that was true.

Mohamed & Walmart Tom

Tunisian man Mohamed Jbali and Sandusky, Ohio local Danielle Mullins (now Jbali) were an infamous 90 Day Fiancé couple. When Mohamed and Danielle started having problems, Mohamed started leaving Danielle’s house more and more frequently. One of the havens he escaped to was the local Sandusky Walmart, where he met a man named Tom. Dubbed “Walmart Tom” by fans, Mohamed’s new friend eventually became his roommate, as well as a sounding board for his issues with Danielle. He even went over to Danielle’s house to try to talk to her on Mohamed’s behalf, and basically provided way more advice and wisdom than fans expected from an acquaintance.

Kenny & Truffles

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 1 star Kenneth Niedermeier captured fans’ hearts when he drove from his hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida to San Felipe, Mexico to live with his partner, Armando Rubio. However, fans were especially tickled that he completed the drive with his 17-year-old dog Truffles. Small enough to fit in Kenny’s lap, and with her tongue perpetually out, Truffles quickly became a fan-favorite among 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way viewers. Fans were delighted when Truffles made another appearance in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3 and was joined by another new furry family member, Romero the kitten.

Tarik Myers & Dwain

When most 90 Day Fiancé viewers think of “Tarik and his brother,” they likely think about Tarik’s brother, Dean Hashim. Tarik and Dean were popular cast members on the spin-off series, 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk. However, the two brothers famously had a falling out and stopped speaking. Tarik has another brother, Dwain, and so far, viewers have seen nothing but support between these two. When Tarik got married to Hazel Cagalitan in 90 Day Fiancé season 8, Dwain drove for 30 hours (from Utah to Virginia Beach) to be at Tarik’s wedding. Hardly anybody else could come because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Three weeks ago. Tarik took to Instagram to praise Dwain for his recent weight loss. He also revealed that Dwain was coming to visit again, to help him deal with his recent split with Hazel.

Molly & Cynthia

This one basically goes without saying, but Molly Hopkins and Cynthia Decker are an iconic “non-couple” duo. The lifelong pals not only own a business together, LiviRae Lingerie, but they are also one of the most popular pairs on 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk. Molly also starred in 90 Day: The Single Life season 1. 90DF friend Cynthia appeared in that season to provide support to her friend while she tried dating again after the end of her explosive marriage to Luis Mendez. Molly and Cynthia actually starred on another reality show before their 90 Day Fiancé stint, Double Divas. The show chronicled the friendship between the two women and their experiences owning a lingerie show together. Fans love to watch Molly and Cynthia because it feels like having a glass of wine with two of their closest friends.
